Although Taekwondo competitions are generally semi-contact rather than full contact, people do often get carried away, or misjudge the distance slightly, and make a hard contact. Taekwondo is well known for its impressive jumping and spinning kicks, and other powerful and dramatic strikes; these kicks are impressive enough to watch in semi-contact competition but when they land one full the face on their opponent it makes for rivetting viewing. Burmese Womens bareknuckle kickboxing- you’ve got to love it. The video quality isn’t perfect, and the technical quality of the fighters skills isn’t much better, but they have certainly go a lot of heart and they really go at each other without gloves in a couple of the most entertaining fight videos I’ve seen in a while:
